Loading the races…
A town usually sits in more than one district. This is every district that covers any part of Alvin on the November 3 ballot, read from Brazoria County's sample ballot for each voting precinct in the city.
- Alvin is split between U.S. House District 14 (about 58% of residents) and District 22 (about 42%).
- Nearly all of Alvin is in Texas Senate District 11 and Texas House District 29; a few voting precincts at the city's edge, with about 120 residents, are in Texas House District 25.
- All of Alvin is in State Board of Education District 7.
- Brazoria County Commissioners Court: Alvin spans Precincts 3 (about 52% of residents), 1 (about 43%), 2 (about 4%) and 4 (fewer than 1%). Precincts 2 and 4 are on this ballot.
- Justice of the Peace and Constable races follow the same precincts; each race lists the share of Alvin that votes in it.
- Alvin ISD, Alvin Community College and the city held their elections in May; they have no item on this ballot.
- Brazoria County is in the 1st and 14th Courts of Appeals. The 15th Court of Appeals covers the whole state.
