A town usually sits in more than one district. This is every district that covers any part of La Porte on the November 3 ballot. Your exact ballot comes from the county lookup at the top of this page.
- La Porte is split between U.S. House District 9 (about 73% of residents) and District 36 (about 27%) on the 2025 congressional map.
- For the Texas House, about 60% of residents are in District 128 and about 40% in District 129. A small strip of the city in District 143 has no residents or registered voters.
- All of La Porte is in Texas Senate District 11, State Board of Education District 8, Harris County Commissioners Court Precinct 2, and Justice of the Peace / Constable Precinct 8.
- The former City of Shoreacres, part of La Porte since May 11, 2026, is in U.S. House District 36 and Texas House District 129. The resident shares above use the city limits before the consolidation.
- All of La Porte is in La Porte ISD, so every La Porte voter sees La Porte ISD Proposition A.
- All of Harris County is in the 1st and 14th Courts of Appeals. The 15th Court of Appeals covers the whole state.
- La Porte city limits, including the former City of Shoreacres
District files: Texas Legislative Council, PLANC2333 (U.S. House, 2025) · TLC PLANH2316 (Texas House) · TLC PLANS2168 (Texas Senate) · TLC PLANE2106 (State Board of Education) · Harris County commissioner precincts · Harris County constable precincts · Census TIGER/Line 2025 places (city limits) · Harris County 2026 voting precincts (district codes, registered voters). Coverage is computed by overlaying each plan on the city limits, not typed by hand.
